G. Krug & Son Ironworks Museum is committed to preserve and interpret the history of America's oldest functioning ironworks.
G. Krug & Son not only has a 206-year history, but business ledgers and drawings that span 175 of those years, dating back to 1841. A small portion of these materials have been digitized, however, there is still an overwhelming amount that needs to be digitized to properly preserve and provide access to these educational resources. The digitization process would have to be done onsite or at the Maryland Historical Society, where the records are located. There is also an opportunity to work offsite with transcribing the already digitized records and inputting the information into a database format.
